10 Years of Traffic Monitoring Systems at f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS
Our Traffic Monitor TM250 celebrates its 10th anniversary! It is aimed at supporting air space surveillance for General Aviation, integrating Mode S, Mode A/C, ADS-B and FLARM-detection in one single cockpit device. ADS-B data from other aircraft are depicted on the TM250 screen. Aircraft whose transponders do not broadcast ADS-B messages are also detected and if possible classified by the TM250. The TM250 incudes a built-in GPS receiver and can transmit its position data to an ADS-B capable Mode S Transponder. This makes a complete ADS-B system. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary the TM250 is offered for a Christmas special price of 755,-- Euros (net) from now on until the end of the year.
In addition to the TM250 we also offer attractive conditions for our RTH80, the ADS-B reception system for professional applications on the ground.
Based on our long-lasting experience with applications of traffic detection systems we will continuously extend our product range in the next few years. One special application is a transponder based reception system for installation in wind parks in order to fulfil the requirements for a needs-based night marking of wind turbines, currently requested by law in Germany from July 2020 onwards. For this purpose f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS has teamed with Deutsche Windtechnik, a well placed specialist in the technical maintenance of wind turbines.

Mobile VHF Radio FSG8 receives certification for ATC operations in Germany
We are happy to announce that our 8,33 kHz capable Mobile VHF Radio FSG8 has received now approval for ATC operations in Germany through the "Bundesamt für Flugsicherung (BAF)".
The FSG8 has been tested against the requirements for equipment to be used for Air Traffic Control operations. It, therefore, meets the guidelines and recommendations of ICAO and, in particular, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Germany.
The FSG8 is now available for immediate shipping.

AERO 2019: Welcome at f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS in Hall B1!
Preparations for AERO 2019, to take place from April 10 to 13 in Friedrichshafen, are running at full speed: with the most comprehensive range of attractions ever the 27th AERO will go to start!
As every year we are looking forward to have you as our guests on our stand 102 in Hall B1.
As already announced our mobile transceiver FSG8 is now in production and represents one of the highlights for this year. The FSG8 is a replacement unit of the well-known FSG5, which is highly appreciated by a lot of flight managers due to its robustness and reliability in daily operation. The FSG8 now complies with the new channel separation of 8,33 kHz. As regards look and operation the FSG8 is similar to the FSG5, inside the housing, however, a new, modern und robust electronic concept has been implemented enabling high frequency accuracy and adjacent channel surpression.
A further innovation is the combination of our ADS-B receiver unit RTH80 with a PC based software module for depiction of aircraft positions. The map presentation is hereby based on Google Earth, allowing to integrate airfield specific information such as approach charts, noise sensitive living areas or preferred approach routes. Since General Aviation aircraft in the meantime are more and more broadcasting their position information, this kind of presentation can be of help for the airfield's flight operator to provide useful information to local traffic as regards departure and arrival routes.
Come along and let us talk about the best solution for the various applications.
We wish you a fantastic flying season 2019!

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS wishes a Happy New Year!
Our product business in 2018 was again dominated by the implementation of 8.33 kHz voice channel spacing capability below FL 195 in Europe, which is now completed in most European countries.
We, therefore, would like to take the chance to say thank you to all our customers, business partners and suppliers and wish you all the best for the New Year 2019!
To complete our 8.33 radio product portfolio we now can also announce that the production process of our long expected hand-held radio FSG8 will now start in the next few weeks. Development and testing of this unit according to the latest European standards turned out to be a real challenge.
We look forward to meeting all of you again at the AERO 2019 in Friedrichshafen from April 10 - 13 - as usual you will find us in hall B1.
