Ground radio devices

With effect from 01.05.2013, f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS GmbH has taken over the rights for the production and marketing of the FSGxx aircraft radio devices from Dittel Messtechnik GmbH, Landsberg/Lech.

The FSGxx series includes the FSG8 handheld radio (approved for air traffic control tasks) and the FSG90 radios, which can be operated both on board and on the ground with the corresponding approvals. The FSG90 is available with a transmission power of 6W or 10W (Model H1) and with extended frequency range up to 149.975 MHz. Built into the carrying case PC90/2T PC the unit can be used for mobile applications.

The airborne transceiver FSG90 is in world-wide operation for decades with an excellent reputation for high equipment reliability, long working life-cycle and very robust equipment design. The FSG90 is a compact airborne radio for the standard 2 1/4" cutting. The channel spacing can be switched between the combined 8.33/25 kHz and 25 kHz only separation. The device is available in different versions with higher transmit power (10W) and with extended frequency range up to 149.975 MHz. In its base configuration the FSG90 can be used for mobile applications (e.g. onboard vehicles) as well as approved ground station.

FSG80

The FSG80 is a further development of the proven ATR833-II aeronautical radio, which meets the high technical requirements of the Federal Supervisory Office for Air Navigation Services (BAF) for ground radio stations. The technical test of the FSG80 fulfils the requirements of ETSI EN 300 676-1/2.
The transmitter and receiver units of the FSG80 radio are derived from the proven ATR series. These have been fundamentally revised so that the FSG80 can be approved as a mobile ground radio station for the mobile aeronautical radio service.
The FSG80 has an automatic recording function. At the push of a button, up to nine seconds of the last incoming radio call are played back. The FSG80 can store up to 20 frequencies with individual names. The 10 most recently used frequencies can be easily recalled by double press.
The FSG80 is suitable for installation in the GS8-II mobile ground station or the PC80 portable case.

PC90/2T PC

Product information

The portable case PC90/2T is a portable case ready for installation of the VHF Transceivers FSG2T (25 kHz channle spacing) or FSG90 (25/8.33 kHz channel spacing). The protable case includes a built-in loudspeaker as well as a battery test function. Via a lock-in type carrying handle the mobility is assured. The installed components are protected via a respective hood.

FSG8

Product information

The FSG8 is the successor of the well-known "yellow briquettes" FSG4 and FSG5 and complies with the reduced channel separation of 8.33 kHz. The FSG8 has the same housing as its predecessor and is, therefore, just as robust. All accessories of the previous models FSG4/5 can be used with the model FSG8.
