Mode S Transponder
Our Mode-S Transponder product family TRT800 is well placed on the market for General Aviation. The Mode S standard covers further information besides the ICAO-Code and offers the possibility to broadcast as well GPS based position data. Several thousands of TRT800 transponders have been installed in General Aviation aircraft in Europe in the meantime. The TRT800H is a standard transponder in 57 mm housing for all applications in general aviation from ultralight aircraft to gliders and piston engine aircraft. It can be delivered either with OLED or LCD display. The TRT800A offers the standard 161mm housing which is ideally suited for the easy replacement of existing transponders like the Kt76 or similar (only with OLED display available).
Mode S / ADS-B Receiver
he RTH80 is a 1090MHz Extended Squitter ADS-B receiver complying with the basic requirements as specified in RTCA DO-260A. The unit operates at 10 to28 V DC. The RTH80 receiver detects incoming ADS-B reports and performs decoding and checking of message validity. The valid ADS-B reports may then be forwarded to a PC for further processing and generation of traffic depiction.
It is a legal requirement in Germany to equip wind farms with a needs-based night marking until 01.07.2021. In co-operation with f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS Deutsche Windtechnik has developed a global and independent system for this purpose. The transponder receiver unit x-BNK, developed by f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS, represents the core component of the overall system. This device receives signals from approaching air vehicles, performs a respective verification and activates the danger fire if needed.
